Leon Emmet is a young fisherman from Newquay who fishes from a small boat the Boy Chris SS276. Leon fishes sustainably using pots, handline and nets, learning the trade from his dad Joe who also has a fishing boat in Newquay harbour. Through their family owned company Newquay fish Leon and Emmets catch is sold direct to consumers and businesses around Cornwall, including some of the finest seafood restaurants.

Port: Porthilly Farm, Rock
Luke Marshall is a second generation shellfish farmer. From their base at Porthilly farm near Rock the Marshall family have been farming shellfish in the Camel estuary for over twenty years. Porthilly oysters and Rock Mussels are renowned for their quality and sustainablity and feature on menus across the county and further afeild.

Squid fishing has long been known as a 'Black Art', with their mystical tendencies of attacking jigs in sudden bouts and then disappearing as quickly as they appeared. In Cornwall squid can be a prized catch for our smaller, inshore handlining fleet, with the price per kg remaining relatively stable over the short period of time they are able to be caught in inshore waters.
